Yesterday, I started the day out early by going to the U-Pull-And-Pay Junkyard. They have a 1987 Chevrolet Nova and I wanted to get some parts from it. I was able to get a few heat shields, the sender unit for the fuel system, and some odds and ends. I was also able to take apart the fuel system and see what might need replacing on mine. I may pay someone to pull the engine and transmission, and send them off for a rebuild, though it might be a different engine than I have, so I will have to wait and see for a day or two.

After that, we did some grocery shopping, had dinner at the Range Cafe, and then went shooting. I did not shoot nearly as well as I had hoped, but perhaps I’ll do better next time.

In the evening, I reloaded all of my .38 cases that I had laying around. I also did some cooking and some laundry

I did not get up in time to attend Sabbath School or church yesterday. However, I did listen in to the Corrales Seventh Day Adventist church service and it is exactly what I needed to hear. I may start going there when I get back from New York.

In the afternoon, I played on amateur radio for a bit, but we had storms threaten off and on, so I disconnected my antennas. Instead, I spent the day reloading, using up all of my 9 mm bullets and a bunch of .45 bullets. I want to test my .45 ACP load and make sure it works before I load the rest of them.

I did a lot of reading, too. I read quite a few electronic journals, cutting down my inbox quite a bit.

In the afternoon, we went for a walk around the neighborhood.

In the evening, we watched History of the World Part I.

Yesterday, I started out the day a little late, but did make it for part of the Sabbath School at the Rio Rancho Seventh Day Adventist church. I was in a racket about something else, so when we broke for church service, I decided to go home instead.

I have been annoyed at a recent thread (based on an article from Cosmo, quoting some people I know), about storm chasing. It said that female storm chasers work three times harder than male storm chasers. Deep down, I know this is bullshit, but at some point, everywhere I go, the voices are the same- you don’t work as hard, your achievements aren’t all that impressive, you had it easy, you didn’t build that, and so on. I didn’t feel like associating with anyone for most of the day.

I spent part of the afternoon cleaning guns and putzing in the reloading shed for a bit.

In the evening, I went to a restaurant as a secret shopper, so that was a new experience.

Yesterday started out really busy, but ended up being a relaxing, productive day.

The appraiser came by the house and checked things out. He took lots of pictures and measurements and notes, but then ended the meeting with, “you guys have a nice place here.” We’ll see what that looks like in the next few days.

After he left, I ran a few errands. I got the oil changed in the Crown Vic, picked up a few items at the grocery store and the gun store, closed a bank account and then came back home. I had more errands to run, but that was enough for today.

In the afternoon, I wrote an article for a client, edited a test article for another potential client, and applied for yet another Upwork contract. While I worked on these, I played on amateur radio off and on.

Once the weather cooled down a bit, I cleaned up one of my garden beds, a spring bed that had died off. I planted some lettuce seeds for the fall season. I also went out to my reloading shed and did a little reloading.

Overall, it was a good day.

Yesterday, I started out the day by knocking out an assignment for a client on Upwork. I had several others to do, but none of them are urgent, so I only did this one and started on another one.

I will be playing with an Arduino Uno here in the next few days. Actually, I have an Elegoo, but it’s based off the Arduino platform, so I hope to be learning more about the platform this summer.

I made a few contacts on amateur radio, but there has been strong radio blackouts the last few days, so the contacts have been few and far between. Even so, I worked a few stations in the “13 colonies” special event.

In the afternoon, we did some grocery shopping. We bought a ton of food, because we will cook out tomorrow. I also bought some salt for our water softener, and added 40 lbs to it. We’ll see how long it lasts.

I also did some reloading in the evening. I finished up some .38s and .357s and then loaded a few 9mm to test.

Yesterday was a busy day. I started out the day by finishing up laundry and doing some other housework. I did some grocery shopping, though that took less time than usual, thanks to ordering ahead. However, some of the things weren’t available, so I still had to go shopping at a different Walmart.

In the afternoon, I did some reloading. I made five, five round batches of 357s to try. In the evening, I tested these rounds and settled on a favorite. After cleaning guns, I spent another hour or two in the reloading shed, cranking out the favorite .357 load.

I also did some Upwork writing and reading in the evening, though I am behind on a few projects.

I picked up a few contacts on the radio as well.

Yesterday, I spent the day at home. I sat around and caught up with JoAnna, as we have both been on the move all week, and had not formulated all the plans we needed to make.

In the afternoon, I went outside for a bit and enjoyed the relatively nice weather. I worked in the garden for a few minutes, watering plants and putting in a few seeds. After that, I worked in the reloading shed until it got too cold.

In the evening, I played on 80 meters, and made quite a few contacts. I will talk more about this on Tuesday on my amateur radio blog.

I am behind on a few projects and next week will be a mess. I need to get my butt in gear.

Yesterday, I spent the morning at the Rio Rancho Seventh Day Adventist Church. I attended both the Sabbath School and the church service. It was good to be back- it’s been a really long time since I attended Sabbath School there, and a few weeks since I attended church.

In the afternoon, I putzed on the radio and at the reloading bench. I reloaded a few things, but some of them didn’t turn out the way I had hoped. On the radio, I only made a few contacts as well.

In the evening, JoAnna and I went to the range and shot. I will post about this on my outdoors blog tomorrow. After the range, we went to…the Range Cafe for dinner, thus concluding a nice date night.

Yesterday was not nearly as productive or as relaxing as I had hoped. I don’t know what my deal was, but I messed up a few little things and it messed up my day. Just simple things- I accidentally cancelled a transaction at the grocery store instead of pressing “OK”, and I forgot to put laundry detergent in the first load of laundry I ran, and I didn’t hit 10,000 steps and stuff like that.

There was a few good highlights of the day. I got the oil changed in the Malibu. I went to Calibers and shot (occasionally well, at that), I did some reloading, and I made two radio contacts, including one in Wallis and Futuna Islands, which was a new one for me.

I logged a little time against some Upwork contracts, which was nice.

Maybe it’s post holiday blues, or maybe I just think I will have my stuff together each new year, but either way, I’m annoyed with myself and should probably get working on things instead.

Yesterday was a nice, relaxed day. We slept in a bit in the morning, but eventually, I got up and did a little housework. I straightened up one of my desks and cleaned up a few things.

In the early afternoon, we met up with my parents for a nice visit and lunch at the Range Cafe. It was crowded and we had plenty to talk about, so we were there for a little while, which was pleasant. Joey left after a while to visit some of his friends.

In the evening, I did a bunch of reloading. I think I’ve figured out most of how to set up my dies for consistency, though I still have to do a few things through trial and error. After a little reloading, JoAnna and I watched the Simpson’s Movie and called it a night.
