I am playing in the SSB Sweeptakes contest, like I do every year. The Sweepstakes was my intro back into amateur radio way back in 2001. I participated in 1992, and a few other years, but I got back into radio in 2001 when I thought ‘who still uses this?’ and made quite a few contacts that year. Ever since, I’ve made it a point to operate in the SSB Sweepstakes contest on my own (not as part of a club).

This month is already over, and I feel like I got a lot done… but not as much as I wanted to get done. November will be better. I’m doing good about setting realistic goals for myself each week, and I am meeting a lot of the important ones. I have let things like my Latin class fall by the wayside. I’m currently listening to Beethoven and working on my lesson plan for tomorrow. Nothing like waiting until the last minute! Tomorrow’s topic is on signal processing-for chemical engineers.
