JoAnna and I saw the Isotopes barely edge out the Las Vegas Aviators in the bottom of the 9th inning on 8/26/19. Once again, we had a coupon for free tickets. We showed up at the booth, and the ticket agent wasn’t going to give them to us. He was about to get his manager, but then a couple showed up with two extra tickets, and gave them to us. We took those, which were in section 205, on the upper deck.
The game was not well attended, and had cleared out by the end of the game.
The pitching was hurting in this game. Whereas the last game was clearly a pitcher’s game, this one was more of a hitter’s game. Lots of long home runs, one striking the top of the score board.
In the end, the Aviator’s 3rd baseman missed a ball hit to him, allowing the Isotopes to score and win the game in the bottom of the 9th. The final score was 8 to 7, Isotopes.
