TX – Palo Duro Canyon

Our family began its travels over Easter Weekend in 2006. We decided to travel this easter to commemorate the occasion. We went to Palo Duro Canyon, the country’s second largest canyon, in Canyon, TX. We visited the canyon on April 3, 2010.

I took remarkably few photos of the canyon itself.

My family standing in front of a replica cabin in the park.

I was also experimenting with black and white photography at the time, as you can see.

This chimney is all that remains of the mess hall. The park was built by the WPA, and this had been where they ate their meals.
