Back on August 20, 2006, we took the first of many trips to Elephant Butte State Park near Truth Or Consequences, NM.
The dam that creates the lake can be used for power, though I’m not sure if it is used for it or not at this point.
The lake itself was low when we visited, even though 2006 was a rainy year.
By the afternoon, a storm had formed near the lake, and I watched as it approached.
