Sunset Crater National Monument

On August 8, 2008, my family and were traveling to help a friend move to Nevada. Along the way, we stopped at Sunset Crater in Arizona.

Sunset Crater is a volcano crater, and was a neat stop along the way. Unlike many National Parks and National Monuments, the entire place could be viewed in a few hours. I did not take notes along the way, other than to notice the igneous rocks around, so I don’t know much about the features shown here.
