Yesterday, I started out the day by attending the Rio Rancho Seventh Day Adventist church. The sermon was led by an 80+ year old African American man, who talked about growing up in the church during segregation, and in the west. He said his first job, as a kid, was cleaning out spittoons. He talked about wandering from God and wandering back to him. It was a great sermon.
In the afternoon, JoAnna and I went for a bicycle ride. It was breezy and a little chilly, so we only made it about 4 miles down the trail before we turned around and came back. My FitBit did not accurately link to the GPS for some reason, and so I’ll have to look into that.
In the evening, we had dinner at Annapurna’s and then went to see Dr. Kristina Jacobsen perform at the Solid Grounds Coffee House. She is a professor at UNM who does country, western and folk music.
Thank you for reading my post.
