Yesterday was a good day. I started out the day by attending the Rio Rancho Seventh Day Adventist church. It had been a long time since my last visit there, as I have been on the road off and on since the first week of November.
Once church had finished, I went to the Albuquerque National Weather Service office to assist with Skywarn Recognition Day. Skywarn Recognition Day is an amateur radio event where stations try to contact as many National Weather Service offices as possible in the 24 hour contest. We had a fan dipole on the roof of the building, and it picked up a ton of noise. Even so, we were able to make a few contacts and give out a few reports.
It was neat too, one of the other hams that was at the event was the same one who sponsored the award I won for being the NM QSO Party first place mobile operator.
In the evening, I did some light grocery shopping and then came home and did some free writing.
Thank you for reading my post.
