Yesterday was the second day of the ARRL TI-2 workshop. Throughout the day, we built remote sensing buoys. They measure air temperature, air pressure, water temperature and GPS location. The data is packaged up and sent as a packet over the radio, so that the buoy is monitored remotely.
During lunch, I made a few radio contacts from the ARRL Headquarters station, W1AW.
In the evening, we visited the Wireless Museum. I took a ton of photos, so I will post those separately at another time.
We did laundry in the evening, though it was a giant nuisance. The hotel washer did not drain, so we had to force it to run and drain the washer. Then two dryer runs later, the laundry wasn’t even close to dry. We packed all of the laundry into the car and drove to the only laundromat in the area that was open at 11pm. Once we got there, there was a sign on the wall that said, “Free drying, no pay dryers.” Thankfully, the employee had mercy on us and we dried our clothes there, returning to the hotel sometime after midnight.
Thank you for reading my post.
