12/1/14: Daily Post

Yesterday was busy, but only the first of my busy days this month.

I give individual oral final exams for my class, and the first few students had those yesterday. I can get away with these, as my classes are small, but I need to find a better way to check indivudal understanding of the content in my class. In the mean time, this does force them to think and learn some of the content on their own.

I also worked with my chemical engineering group on developing a battery out of soda cans, drano, copper and table salt. Amazingly, we were able to power a small electric motor with multiple cells of this chemical battery.

After that, I went to my brother’s house and watched Blazing Saddles. What a great movie.

Thank you for reading my post!
